This is a well made hat and much more attractive than competitors. However, I have a small head and it is simply too "tall." When snugged onto my head, it sits way too low and makes it hard for me to see over waves on the paddle out. Not for me, but I can recommend to others. Perhaps if they had more size options?

I have the visor, which fits perfectly and that I have really enjoyed using in the surf. I ordered this Kaiola surf hat as well, which has the same great fit, and looks very nice. I am keeping this one to wear a bump cap underneath so that I have some protection from getting conked in the head from a board in larger waves. The bump cap that I put on the underside of this hat works perfectly under the hat. It also allows me to carry a hardboard on my head, since it is hard for me to carry it alongside my body since I have shorter arms. Normally it would be too uncomfortable for me to carry a hardboard on my head, but with this hat and the bump cap on underneath, it is quite comfortable. I haven't worn it in the water yet, but it is the same construction as the visor, and that stayed on with no problem and worked perfectly (so much so that I forgot I even had it on).

I am really enjoying my hat. It doesn’t come off in strong wind or big waves due to the chin strap. It is made of a light material that does not hold water so the hat doesn’t become heavy or fall over my eyes in the water. It is really cute as well, dries quick! I highly recommend.

I love my hat! This is the only hat I've worn where I sometimes forget I even have it on. It stays on my head great and the sizing is jsut perfect. I'll definitely be sharing with freinds!

Good hat, good materials, but one thing is annoying - the visor is flat and to difficult to bend it. After bending it not stay bended.

Amazing fit! Never comes off and never gets in the way. Still have perfect vision to scan the takeoff zone, which used to be an issue with other brands. I would take the hat off before paddling for a wave as I felt it was limiting my vision. No need for that when you surf with a Kaiola hat!
